Second Vice President

Bengt Sandstrom
I first took up pistol shooting as a junior in Sweden. After moving to Australia in 1972, I again took up the sport 10 years later and, in over 30 years of involvement, my primary focus has been on the ISSF disciplines with various achievements at State, National and International level. However, my international career has been the most satisfying in representing Australia in nearly 150 international matches over some 60 different competitions, comprising of 3 Olympics, 3 Commonwealth Games and numerous World championships, World Cups, etc.
Overall, my performance at these international competitions has been quite successful, with many medal placings at the Oceania Championships, numerous World Cup Final qualifications achieving medals in both the 50m Pistol and 10m Air pistol events. However, my Commonwealth Games achievements are probably the most memorable with not only several Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, but also a couple of long standing records such as the Individual 10m Air pistol record that I held for 16 years and to date, after 20 years I still hold the Pair 50m pistol records.
Through my knowledge and experience built up over the years I have, on behalf of the Australian International Shooting Limited, assisted with coaching at World Cup and International Junior competitions. Locally, I continue to assist with general coaching at various levels when time permits.
My administration experience has come from various roles at club and state level, and this has been broaden in recent years in successfully undertaken the roles of Second and then First Vice President of the Queensland Amateur Pistol Shooting Association.

Secretary

Jenny Gregory
Along with husband Doug, I joined what is now Canberra National Pistol Club in 1974 and have been an active and enthusiastic shooter since that time. As they grew older, our sons Craig and Scott joined the Club, competing at Club, State and National events.
Since that time I think I’ve done some of everything connected with our sport – I’ve been a member of ACT Pistol Teams, Secretary of the Club, Secretary and now President of ACT Pistol Association, instructed new shooters and trained range officials, organized Opens and a myriad of other Club events, as well as being part of Organising Committees for four National Championships. With only a few exceptions, Doug and I have attended and competed in every ISSF/PA National Championships since 1978.
I have progressed through the ranks to Judge A and International Judge level and this has led me to officiating at competitions in many parts of the world. I count my participation at Sydney’s Olympic and Paralympic Games and Melbourne’s Commonwealth Games as standout highlights of my involvement in pistol shooting.
