Second Vice President

Bob Lester

When asked to pen a brief resume for the Bulletin it provoke some thought about what have I done in the years since joining the Dampier Pistol Club in 1975. Along the way I got married to a wonderful lady, inherited two daughters, I am very fortunate my wife Dee shares my sport and enjoys as much as I do competing and meeting the people involved. This has allowed me to go through the ranks with respect being involved in the administration of pistol shooting at club, state level and now nationally.

I gained qualifications as a Range Officer and National Judge B in every discipline bar Metallic Silhouette.  In 1998 I became a National Judge A. Also hold an International Judge B license which has allowed me to officiate at what I feel two of the greatest sporting events the Sydney Olympic and Paralympics Games. Now I eagerly await the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. I my new role of PA Second VP I look forward to meeting more of the people who make up our great sport.

Secretary

Jenny Gregory

Along with husband Doug, I joined what is now Canberra National Pistol Club in 1974 and have been an active and enthusiastic shooter since that time.  As they grew older, our sons Craig and Scott joined the Club, competing at Club, State and National events.

Since that time I think I’ve done some of everything connected with our sport – I’ve been a member of ACT Pistol Teams, Secretary of the Club, Secretary and now President of ACT Pistol Association, instructed new shooters and trained range officials, organized Opens and a myriad of other Club events, as well as being part of Organising Committees for four National Championships.  With only a few exceptions, Doug and I have attended and competed in every ISSF/PA National Championships since 1978.

I have progressed through the ranks to Judge A and International Judge level and this has led me to officiating at competitions in many parts of the world.  I count my participation at Sydney’s Olympic and Paralympic Games and Melbourne’s Commonwealth Games as standout highlights of my involvement in pistol shooting.
