The weather certainly has had its impact on this Nationals. The tough decision had to be made to cancel the Barricade Event in the Open Match, so therefore the scores for the 2026 Open Match will be out of a possible of 1440 instead of 1920.

Round 2 of the TPA ISSF Scholarships is open, with applications closing 31 October 2026! The first round saw 11 young athletes from across Australia receive scholarships to help support their shooting journey. If you believe you legitimately meet the eligibility criteria, don’t miss the opportunity to put your application forward! 2026 CMP ACTION WORLDS FINAL PROGRAM IS HERE
It's been a mammoth task at the Match Director's Desk the past couple of weeks. With numbers for the Open Match exceeding this years Bianchi Cup! And along with this event and the Nationals taking place the week before - it's been head down for the MD and he has now been able to release the final program. Competition Days - 27 - 31 October.

ISSF Junior Championships Update from Shooting Australia
Results update from the ISSF Junior World Championships (Pistol/Rifle/Shotgun) in Suhl, Germany
The 10m Air Pistol Mixed Teams event concluded yesterday with Tanvi Lathwal and Benjamin Paulino shooting a combined score of 566 and placing 22nd. Talia Woodroffe and Lucas Wang shot a combined score of 553 and placed 40th. This event concludes the pistol competition at the Junior World Championships.

Target Pistol Australia launches new national website
Target Pistol Australia has launched its new national website, marking an important step forward in the sport’s move into modern online sports management. The new website, developed by Rev Sport, TPA’s national database supplier, officially launched on 25 June 2026 and will provide a more accessible and streamlined online presence for members, clubs, officials, volunteers and the wider target pistol community.
